Welcome to Jay CFI website

I am FAA Certified Flight Instructor living in Europe.

I hold an instructor certificate with the following privileges:

  • single engine sea and land (CFI),
  • instrument rating (CFII),
  • multi engine land (MEI).

Pilot or just dreaming to fly, let's share our enthusiasm about flying and aviation. This website may be your first or your next step in the aviation world. Please step in ;-)

I love to teach flying and I am investing a lot to provide to student a high added value training. Your safety today and tomorrow is my first goal.

All along these pages, I will share with you my experience, my views on what your training should be.

The trainings are designed in accordance with the Airmen Certification Standard and aim at supporting the development of solid airmanship.

There are two levels at which you can learn to fly :

  1. Reproduce gesture and pattern (rote learning),
  2. Master the physics of flight, the use of sight picture and proper control inputs (appropriation).

If Safety is our first and utmost priority, we have, as flight instructor, to support you to reach the second level. To do so, it is very important to lead you toward the implementation of good working and flying patterns based on solid basic airmanship.

All airplanes have been made to fly, understand it, is the first clue to become a safe, well prepared and solid pilot.
